About the Retreat
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's United for Veterans initiative is proud to present a winter retreat for veterans and service members who live and/work within our service area to attend individually, with a significant other, or with their families.
Spend a winter weekend getaway at Sugar Lake Lodge connecting with people with shared life experiences from across the region.
Registration includes two nights' lodging, meals (dinner Friday, breakfast/lunch/dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday), speakers, indoor and outdoor activities.
Scholarships are available if registration costs pose a barrier!

Who Qualifies
Veterans/servicemembers Must live or work in UWNEMN's service area.
Civilians Can only attend when registered with a veteran or servicemember who lives or works in UWNEMN's service area.
Veterans/servicemembers who live or work outside of UWNEMN's service area can register for the retreat wait list and will be contacted should space remain closer to the retreat date.

Each United Way organization is independently operated and serves a unique service area. This retreat is being organized by United Way of Northeastern Minnesota for individuals within our service area (see above) but is being held in a neighboring United Way's service area.
If you live and/or work in Itasca County (excluding Nashwauk, Keewatin, and Pengilly), you are served by United Way of 1,000 Lakes.
