United Way of Northeastern Minnesota operates SIX PROGRAMS IN KOOCHICHING COUNTY specifically for youth:
- Buddy Backpacks - weekend meal kits for children at-risk of hunger
- Imagination Library - monthly books mailed at no-cost
- Lunch Buddies - pairs elementary students with screened/trained local adult mentors
- Meet Up and Chow Down - free summer lunch
- Step Into School - back to school shoe shopping celebration
- Youth United Contest - scholarship contest
