
About the Training
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota is proud to offer a free babysitter training to youth 11 years and older who live in our service area (Iron Range, Koochiching County, and Lake of the Woods County).
Training will be provided by Mountain Iron Library Director and Events Coordinator Anna Amundson who is an American Red Cross certified instructor.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion for the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. (CPR training will be included.)
- > Students must be 11 years or older on class day and must live in UWNEMN's service area to participate.
- > This is a one-day training; class starts at 9 am and concludes at 4 pm.
- > Students must stay for entirety of class to obtain certification. Certificates will be sent to email with which parent/caregiver uses during registration following class.
- > Space is limited to 10 participants.
- > Lunch and snacks will be provided.
- > Parent/caregiver must provide transportation and accompany child to building for drop-off and pick-up.
